About the Role
IEEE is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to support social media management, content creation, video marketing, and digital marketing initiatives. The role focuses heavily on Instagram management and short-form video content creation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Create and schedule posts, stories, reels, and updates.
- Write engaging captions aligned with brand guidelines.
- Stay updated on social media trends, hashtags, and best practices.
- Monitor social media channels and engage with followers.
- Support creation of images, graphics, and basic video content.
- Track engagement, reach, and follower growth metrics.
- Conduct competitor and industry research.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and promotions.
Instagram Management
- Assist in content calendar planning and execution.
- Create and publish Instagram posts, stories, and reels.
- Monitor Instagram insights and performance metrics.
- Research hashtags, trends, and competitor strategies.
- Engage with followers through comments, direct messages, and community interactions.
Video Marketing (Primary Focus)
- Create short-form video content including Reels and Shorts.
- Assist with video shooting, editing, and optimization.
- Follow trending audio, formats, and viral content styles.
- Collaborate on video marketing campaigns.
- Optimize videos using hooks, captions, and thumbnails.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to commute to the office daily.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing personal or brand social media accounts.
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools.
- Ability to create graphics and edit short videos.
- Awareness of digital trends and viral content.
- Ability to create multiple reels per day.
