About the Role
Nielsen is hiring a Data Processing Specialist I to support the preparation, processing, quality assurance, and modernization of market research data used by advertisers, media owners, and agencies. The role involves working with data pipelines, Python-based process improvements, and collaborating with international teams across India and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Prepare market research data for use in Nielsen's software platform.
- Ensure data is accurate, organized, and accessible.
- Learn and support multiple functions within the data processing workflow.
- Perform quality assurance activities according to defined guidelines.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using Python.
- Support market research and media analytics data operations.
- Collaborate with data teams, ETL developers, vendors, and software engineers.
- Assist in improving and modernizing data pipelines.
- Help deliver research insights used in marketing and media decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Statistics, or a related field with a data focus.
- Some programming experience, preferably in Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Affinity for data, research, and quantitative techniques.
- Good understanding of software systems.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Media industry or market research experience.
