About the Role
The Data Analyst will partner with business stakeholders to align business strategies and requirements with organizational priorities. The role focuses heavily on designing and building data models from scratch, translating business requirements into scalable data structures, and ensuring successful implementation of data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Gather and validate business, technology, and data requirements.
- Translate business requirements into data modeling requirements, including entities, relationships, and data structures.
- Design and build logical and physical data models from scratch.
- Define fact and dimension models, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
- Define data granularity, hierarchies, and semantic layers for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to align data models with enterprise architecture.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and metadata standards.
- Review and optimize data models for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Analyze production issues and recommend improvements to data models.
- Lead stakeholder discussions and support delivery of data solutions.
- Use modeling and prototyping tools to validate data models and business logic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and developing logical and physical data models.
- Strong experience building data models from requirement analysis through implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must Have Skills
- Data Modeling.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Understanding of system architecture and data security principles.
- Experience with Azure SQL DW, AAS, Power BI, Python, ADF, and ADLS Gen2.
- Finance domain knowledge including GL, Cost Center, and Profitability processes.
- Exposure to SAP ECC, SAP CRM, and Hybris.
- Knowledge of Hyperion and Enterprise Planning Management.
